Kari & Daniel

I had the pleasure of meeting Kari at the bridal fair back in January and she booked on the spot! Her wedding was the first of several Friday weddings that I have booked for this year and was at the lovely Annabella's in Huntsville. Here are just a few shots from the day:

A Selfish Post

I feel guilty about about posting this because I have so many client posts I need to do but I finally took some photos of Kynsley. I never did a 2 year session with her so now that she's 2 months away from the big 3 I finally got her out for a quick shoot. Kynsley has always been a bit...unpredictable in photos. I gave up trying to get a traditionally good photo long ago. What fun are those really anyway? Years down the road I'll always be able to look back at Kynsley's photos and remember her amazing little personality and kookiness so now I just go with it. Of course Bryson has always been a camera ham so while I did have him engaged in child labor holding my reflector and making Kynsley laugh I snapped a few of him too.

This is the typical crazy girl we all love. Although she's a free spirit, she's not actually throwing up the piece sign here. She's throwing up a big 2.

Not to be outdone, Bryson needed to make his age known too. Yep. He's 4! He has to concentrate really hard to get his fingers just right if you can't tell.

Kynsley is such a little mother. Baby Rose wanted to come along for the photo shoot and got pretty upset when we weren't focusing on her. Kynsley first had to comfort her and then let her get one photo made on her own:

Emily & Keith...sittin in a tree...

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

I've known Emily pretty much her whole life so I was beyond honored and excited when she asked me to photograph her upcoming wedding. We recently shot some engagement photos of the happy couple and had a blast. I just love engagement sessions. All that love in the air makes for a fun time. Oh, and I really love kissing shots. I mean REALLY. When I pick my favorites from a session I have to go back and plug in a few that the couple are actually looking at the camera because I just love the kissing ones so much. Here are some of my favorites from the day (and a couple of others just to give you some non-kissing ones)

Miss Cole

Nicole is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. She just oozes goodness. Always cheery & upbeat, singing & smiling. She adores kids and is so good with them. She used to take the kids home between church services to play and she even called one weekday to ask if she could come pick Bryson up and take him to the park to play. I mean really, who does that? Well Nicole or "Miss Cole" as my kids call her, that's who. Well, Nicole just had her one year anniversary but a few months ago we did some post-wedding bridal formals. We meant to do them before the ceremony but the craziness of life got in the way so we had to wait a while. It turned out perfectly since we didn't have to worry about keeping the dress neat & clean and she got to let loose and have some fun.

Oh...and one thing I forgot to mention about Nicole...she's drop-dead gorgeous. I mean really stunningly beautiful. If her inside beauty didn't match the exterior then it would be hard not to hate her. Congratulations Nicole! We love you:)

James is Graduating...wait that can't be right!

Only 11 short years ago, I was a Junior at Athens Bible School. There were 6 or 7 of us who had a completely empty period in the day so in true ABS fashion, they just invented a class for us to take and named it "Peer Reading". We went to the various elementary classes and read to the kids and acted out stories, basically just goofed off and played with kids. Well one of my absolute FAVORITE little kindergarteners was a sweet little boy named James. He always wore a black cowboy hat and was just the cutest thing. So, flashforward and that sweet little cowboy has grown up into a sweet big cowboy! Where does the time go? Thanks so much for letting me be a part of it!

Rachael & Spencer

On August 28th it was off to Monte Sano to photograph Rachael & Spencer's wedding. Another sweet couple & family! I really have the best luck with my clients. This family welcomed me like I was one of their own. I had the best time and really felt like I was taking pictures at a friend's wedding. Oh, and the best part? They were the biggest Alabama fans I've ever met. All the guests had shaker's as the bride & groom ran out to the fight song. 

I can't take credit for this beautiful setup. Rachael's good friend had this idea and I completely fell in love with and ran with it!

Whitney & Grant

On August 8th I headed to Rogersville to the Longing for Home Bed  Breakfast to photograph Whitney & Grant's big day. I knew Grant from my old Bible School days although he was quite a bit younger than me. I met Whitney and her sweet family when I did her sister Chelsea's Senior portraits last year. I had such a great time working with this family! They are some of the sweetest people I've ever met. While I was uploading these I realized how many kissing shots I have. I'm just a sucker for the romantic I guess. Here are a few of my favorites from the day:
